Canyoning
The Ariège Pyrenees, with their varied geological formations and numerous waterways, offer an ideal setting for this activity. Routes adapted to all levels are offered by the Ax Guides Bureau.

Hiking
Niaux is an ideal starting point for hiking. Ridge trails, panoramas of the Ariège Pyrenees, Miglos castle, Artax pond or Bassibié peak: the circuits, from the easiest to the most sporty, cross beech forests, high plateaus and typical villages.
Via ferrata / Climbing
Near the Laramade boulders, the Auzat and Calames cliffs, climbing is possible year-round. The Vicdessos via ferratas are also very close.

The Ariège Golf Club
Located in the heart of the Ariège Pyrenees, in a setting of exceptional beauty, the Ariège golf course, designed by Michel Gayon, offers an 18-hole course of astonishing diversity, combining playing comfort and technicality.
The Niaux cave
The Niaux cave, in the Ariège Pyrenees, can be visited in 1 hour and 45 minutes by lamplight, leading to the famous Black Salon adorned with more than 70 prehistoric animal paintings (bison, horses, ibex) dating back approximately 17,000 years. The guided tour follows 800 meters of vast natural galleries, without any artificial lighting or facilities.

The Vicdessos Valley opens directly onto the family-friendly resort of Goulier, while Ax 3 Domaines and its vast ski area, Guzet with its chalet atmosphere, and the Monts d'Olmes await you just a few kilometers away. You'll also find the Plateau de Beille, a renowned Nordic skiing destination, nearby.

Ice Climbing and Cascades
